What it’s for:
The Digitag is a device used to digitize each animal and record all productive events performed on them (weighing, nutrition, reproduction, movements, stock, etc). It has the capability to work both online and offline, meaning without connectivity. Its function is to read ear tags, acting as an RFID reader, record the events, and then transmit the data to the Digicloud online platform.
How it’s used:
The Digitag has a touchscreen and a radiofrequency reader triggered by a trigger to read the ear tags. It’s used similarly to a mobile application, where some data is loaded. When the trigger is activated, the ear tags are read, and each animal is identified. The Digitag interacts with other digital tools, such as electronic scales, smart syringes, and reading arches.
Running on it is the Digitag mobile application, which allows proper interaction between the device and the Digirodeo solutions ecosystem.
